Diagnostic
- New Patient Examination
During the first hour-long appointment, one of our team
meets with you to gather information, take x-rays and
intra-oral pictures. Then I will meet with you to go
through all of the information collected, do a soft
tissue check and cancer screen and briefly interview you
about your concerns. At this point you schedule a follow
up appointment and are free to go. After office hours
and away from the office commotion, I study all the
information and develop a treatment for
you. I try to include as many options as possible, but I
also make suggestions about which options are the best.
The second appointment involves a consultation
to go through the results of the initial appointment. At
this time your existing situation and treatment options
are explained and insurance coverage is analyzed. You
are given a folder with a copy of recommended treatment,
appropriate information pamphlets and copies of your
intra-oral pictures. Spouses or parents are welcome to
attend this consultation. You are then in an informed
position to select the treatment that is best for you. |
